The Satio is Sony Ericsson’s best camcorder to date, and would probably rank among the best on the market. I’ve shot a few video samples for you guys, so you can see the excellent video quality. You can download the original (unedited) video clips from the links below (right click and save). And yes – you should download it to your computer instead of viewing it in your browser. Odds are that it’ll lag if you play it in your browser window.
And for the tech junkies, here are the juicy details:
- Resolution: 640 x 480 pixels (VGA)
- Video codec: MPEG-4 (.mp4)
- Video bitrate: 3,800 – 4,000 Kbps (variable)
- Video framerate: 29.57 frames per second
- Audio codec: AAC (.mp4a), mono
- Audio bitrate: 64 Kbps
I’m overly impressed with the video quality. Audio quality isn’t bad either, especially considering it’s mono channel sound!

Awesome video Quality. Did not expect a 4mb bit rate.
Love the rubber chicken
great quality and you have a nice dog too
Its way ahead of my C905
can’t watch vids with Chrome
Just right click on the links and download the files
Hi Mizzle,
Could you please compare the screen quality with Samsung i8910 or Nokia N97 ?
Thanks in advance
Hi dyne!
I’m afraid I do not own a Samsung i8910, but I’m pretty sure its OLED display beats the living daylight out of just about any other display. However, I wouldn’t trust its performance on a bright sunny day, in which case I’d put my money on the Satio.
The display seems better than the one in the Nokia N97, despite being identical on paper.
Hi Mizzle,
superb vid quality.. 2 thumbs up from me.
could you please make video recording in low light scene? Like to see how the output, even my innov8 don’t perform well when record in low light.
thanks in advance
Yep, I recorded a video of me and a mate playing table tennis in low light. Perhaps that’ll do?
how can i know this video sample is from satio?
the quality is very great
Seriously? I wouldn’t have posted it and claimed it was from Satio, if it wasn’t.
Hi,
The satio claims to have a video light… I can’t find one!! Is there really one?
Thanks!
