Kurara

If you’re a trusty reader of GSMArena you will know that the team has just released a couple of photos of an upcoming Sony Ericsson handset under the codename of Kurara. The rumoured specifications are much like the Satio’s but with a few important changes. The battery has been juiced up a bit, now 1200 mAh, and it’s apparently capable of recording videos in 720p HD. The camera resolution has been decreased to 8 megapixels.

The Fastport has been replaced by a combination of a microUSB connector and a regular 3.5 mm jack connector. Not quite sure whether I like this or not as you can get the combined functionality of the two in just one connector via the Fastport. The screen size is rumoured to have shrunk to 3.2 inches compared to 3.5 inches on the Satio.

If I were you, I wouldn’t get my palms all sweaty over this yet.

I don’t like the looks of it. But to be honest, I hated having to change headphones every few months as they ALWAYS died on the fastport.

Finally they go for micro usb! Excellent!
Seems slim and sexy. I wonder how they UI looks in relation to the uglish Satio.

  3. They should price this near the Nokia 5800 or better still, the 5530. That move alone would cause ripples in the market.

Having used a few low end touch phones recently, I have realized that the LG Cookie and the Samsung Satr ain’t worth Jack squat. Only the N5530 is actually worth one’s money and this phone could and should challenge it.

You’re probably right herr synnberg. But knowing SE pricing I’d say it’ll not be a low end pricing on this. Se can’t afford that right now. I just hope we’ll see it soon :D
Love the design though but x10 takes that price still.
If I should say a list price for Kurara I’d guess around 600 $
